2017 Classic Runs

The first NHMC Classic run of 2017 was the Caves Classic which took place on Sunday 2nd July, the event ended at the  North Cave Village Show.

The winner, shown being awarded the Dennis Webster Shield by Dennis Robinson, was Jon & Vicky Seth in their 2009 Ferrari California. Second place went to Roger Stanford and Rosemary Sadofsky in a BMW Z3M and third place to Alan Gilbert and Tony White in their 1973 Vauxhall Viva SL. 24 entries were received but only 21 started the event.

Thanks to Ian Sadofsky and Dennis Robinson for organising the event which had an excellent route in good weather!!

The second NHMC Classic Run of 2017 was the annual Scenic Run which took place on Sunday 20th August.  The event started at the Farm Shop in Hutton Cranswick and the route ended at Sutton Upon Derwent, near York to coincide with the villages classic vehicle gathering on the village green. The route was about 80 miles. The event was not timed so the winners were deemed to be those whose car recorded a mileage closesed to that of the organisers. The winners were Liz and Dennis Robinson in their Mercedes 230CF and Phil and Ann Cherry in their Lotus Elan.

Thanks to Robert and Gail Newlove for organising what was an excellent run in good weather. Thanks also to the marshals who assisted in the smooth running of the event.
